I'm in charge!

In this activity, I asked students to imagine they were throwing a birthday party for their best friend. Because of their long to-do list, they don't have time to get everything done alone and have to enlist the help of their younger brother, Carlos.

Carlos asks a lot of questions and isn't always the most dependable, so it's important that students write clear instructions.

Using their knowledge of house and chore-related vocabulary, students had to read through the provided context and text their brother with a list of commands.
