New Identities
I designed and printed these cédulas de identidad (identification cards) to facilitate authentic communication between high school Spanish 1 students.
Each student received a new identity and "met" each other for the first time. In these conversations, they practiced:
- greetings & introductions.
- numbers, through sharing their número de identidad (ID number).
- numbers and months, through sharing their fecha de nacimiento (date of birth).
- Spanish-speaking countries, through sharing their país de origen.
- the alphabet, through spelling out their names.
Students had to stay in the target language and keep track of the information of the people they were "meeting."
