Welcome to camp!

I created this informational flyer inviting Spanish 1 students to a summer camp held in Chile. The invitation includes basic information about the camp, an introduction by the founders, and testimonials from the camp's leaders and participants.  

Students had to decipher the flyer, answer questions, and ultimately RSVP. 

At the lower levels of Spanish, longer reading comprehension activities can frustrate students. My goal with this activity was to pique students' interest while challenging them and building their confidence in the language.

I used vocabulary that we'd previously studied in class (bolded words) and cognates (starred words) in order to present new vocabulary (underlined words) in context.
